A Quiet Place Movie Nail Art

Quiet Place Nail Art

Recently I desperately needed some retail therapy.  So, naturally, I turned to nail art and went on a MoYou London stamping plate spree.  I decided to get the entire Hipster, Lingo and Literature collections during one of their awesome sales.

The packet was huge!  It was so heavy and I couldn’t stop looking at it for weeks; dreaming up future designs.  One plate on the other hand had me puzzled.  I had no idea how I would use it.

Lingo 07.  A plate that contained the entire alphabet…  In sign language…

My mother-in-law got hold of a voucher for 2-for-1 movie tickets.  So, therefore, we couldn’t let the opportunity pass us by.  We decided that A Quiet Place looked like an awesome movie and after seeing the trailer I instinctively knew how I am going to use Lingo 07.

For those of you that are not familiar with the movie, it is about a family’s struggle to survive after aliens have occupied Earth.  These vicious aliens are blind, but they have heightened hearing and therefore they will attack anything that makes a noise.  The family has to live in silence to survive, speaking only in sign language to their deaf daughter and whispering when it is safe to do so.

I decided to spell out Quiet Place stamping on the appropriate sign language for each letter.  The yellow popped against the grey, making it really stand out.  I loved the result!

What do you think?  What design would you like to see next?

  1. That movie got me, he did a great job directing. Since it was so quiet in the theater you could hear ever squeal, gasp, and sigh. I’m loving your nails! I wish I could do mine as beautifully, it just looks like I spilled the colors all over my fingers.

    • I loved the movie too! Some movie-goers were crunching on their popcorn so loudy that other people told them off! 😂😂
Thank you for the lovely compliment, I must say, it has taken me years to get here – I thought ‘simple design, should be quick’ but it still took over 2 hours! 🤨
